Every year, American Residential Services sets aside a period of time to celebrate ARS through activities and events in each of the service centers throughout the country. The company calls this celebration We are ARS Week.
During this time, the letters ARS have a different meaning:
- Acknowledge Our Employees
- Refresh Our Surroundings
- Serve Our Community
Branches around the country are encouraged to participate and submit a President’s Pick Submission Form along with picture and video about the unique ways their service center celebrated We are ARS Week. Executives look over the content and pick We are ARS Week Winners based on how meaningful and unique the activities were. These branches are then recognized at the national Manager’s Meeting this year.
Atlas Trillo Heating and Air Conditioning earned 2nd place in the smaller branch division. The staff took this year’s ARS week to the next level. Below are some of the different ways the branch in San Jose acknowledged employees, refreshed their surroundings, and served their community.
- Light breakfast each morning before technicians left for service calls.
- Employees who participated in the Wellness Screenings received a catered breakfast and Starbucks gift card.
- Personal care packages along with “Thank You” letters were distributed to the employees.
- Bowling Night.
- To end We are ARS Week, the employees enjoyed a BBQ and raffle prizes.
- Cleaned the shop and added flowers to the lobby.
- Decorated entire service center with balloons, stars and streamers.
- Employees placed indoor plants around the service center.
- Volunteered at Martha’s Kitchen, a soup kitchen that has been feeding the hungry since 1981, and served about 300 hot meals to those in need.
- Food Drive for Martha’s Kitchen.
