Briefly introduce yourself, and please include position and responsibilities.
My name is Cindy Roesler. I am currently the HVAC Sales Manager and Assistant General Manager for the ARS/Rescue Rooter Houston North location. My primary responsibility is to work with our HVAC sales team and our customers as well also assist my team members in personal and professional growth.
How long have you been an ARS/Rescue Rooter employee?
I have been employed with ARS for almost 30 years. I began my career with ARS/Rescue Rooter in May 1990.
What does a typical day look like?
I arrive at the office at approximately 6:30 am, and I immediately begin reviewing all of our HVAC & EAS (efficient attic solutions) sales leads and prioritize them. Afterward, I go through the same process for our service and maintenance calls. I then review the technician and advisor’s performance for the prior day and month to date and line out the day with our dispatcher. Usually, we meet with the technicians and advisors for about an hour to review hot items and provide additional training. All the managers meet with our General Manager to review overall performance and pressing items. I work with new sales professionals in our sales process, which includes teaching the fundamentals and a lot of role-playing. I also field calls each day to assist in closing deals with customers.
What is the most fun thing about being in your position?
The people that I work with are the best. We make it a point to enjoy each other and promote comradery amongst us.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job at ARS/Rescue Rooter?
Giving people opportunities and seeing them exceed their goals.
Any advice for other females who may see you as a role model in the service industry?
Be patient, never give up. Learn the different personality styles and the best way to interact with them.
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind?
I have two small dogs, a Yorkshire terrier, and a Rat Terrier.
Where can we find you on a typical weekend?
I’m usually close to my home with my grandchildren or good friends.
Name one surprising thing that people at ARS/Rescue Rooter may not know about you.
I’m a daredevil. I love Bungee jumping, driving fast, and other like items. My dream vacation would be to Scotland.
If you had to live on a deserted island, what three things would you bring?
A picture of my family, a pot to boil water, and flint to make fire.
